Praise Pact: Day 4
Today, I’m extremely grateful for my timeless friendship with my friend Jess. Jess and I met our first day of college together at Northwest University in Kirkland, Wa. We began our journey as “fake room-mates” (we lived next door in dorm rooms, but spent just about all our time together). We have been friends now for about 10 years, and we only see each other every few months. But, everytime, I’m reminded why I love her. We always pick up where we left off as though no time as passed. We talk about God, politics, husbands, marriage, church, music, love, life, and now we get to talk about mommyhood as she recently had her first beautiful little baby Luella. I am blessed by her and knowing her spurs me on in the faith because I am able to be me, imperfections and all and she has challenged me, encouraged me, and reminded me often what it means to be a real child of God. Thanks Jess for our time together yesterday. Thanks for sharing Lu-yella (what Oren says) with me and for being a timeless friend.
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him. Colossians 3:15-17
